Deadpool playmat

I wont say it's an official commission but I was paid to do the work.  Friend of mine was interested in having his very own Deadpool playmat so this is what i came up with.

I refused to take an entire picture of the mat because it's basically a resized Liefeld from New Mutants #98 and the proportions are strange if you look at the whole figure.

Its a chore not to try to correct the wacky anatomy when you recreate a Liefeld.  But he's the pro not me.

But completing this mat gave me the important barometer of knowing how much time these thing can take based on complexity and what I should be charging for comissions, should anyone be interested.

Chandra Playmat

if you show me something that is blank you know i'm going to want to draw on the friggin thing

so i spliced Chandra (mtg character) into a spindy/MJ setting and came up with this
the material is essentially a mousepad and if u try this i recommend some professional archival ink (i used pigma micron pens) as the sharpie isnt dark enough and prismacolor pens bleed like the dickens

contact me if you are interested in a custom playmat

1st mtg alter

so i've finished my first and 2nd mtg alters using liquitex basics acrylics, brushes, water, toothpick papertowel and time

the slith took forever and i learned that it's damn near impossible to match colors that and i need to practice with acrylics, but for a 1st it's not too bad

this was insanely easy in comparison as i barely had to go into any color wheel just stick with black and some white/pale yellows for highlights and the spectre lines

looking forward to completely covering a card as opposed to these extensions though i like the product
